Red Dead Redemption

The western video game I've been waiting for. When I bought Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood the game I really wanted was Red Dead Redemption. You are free to go where you want and do what you want in RDR. In CoJ you can't even stray away from your the other character or you fail whatever you're doing and have to start over. Another fun aspect of RDR is that you can be good or bad. You gain honor for helping people and you lose it for robbing, killing, etc. You also become more famous as you go. Characters in the game respond to you (John Marston) by how good or bad you are. Towns folk like you if you're honorable and gangs like you if you're not. If you wanted you could just ride around on your horse and hunt deer, birds, snakes, coyote, wolves, rabbits, etc. That'll cover the hunting game enthusiasts. Feel like playing poker? Walk into a town and find the poker room. Its all here.

Playstation Move

I don't think I had heard about the move. Looks fun to me. Probably would make a game like God of War fun. Zelda for Wii was a lot of fun thanks to the wiimote.

See No Evil Hear No Evil

One of the movies I watched all the time as a kid. Decided to stream on Netflix today and it felt like I was watching it for the first time. It's probably been 20 years since I saw it last and it was really good. Very funny. Made me a bit bummed that we'll never see these two together again and even more bummed that Gene Wilder hasn't made a movie in so long. I read on Wikipedia that he's written 3 books in the past 12 years. Maybe I'll check one of those out.

The Simpsons

From a recent episode of Simpsons.

Thai Drunken Noodles

Drunken noodles for lunch today. Its my new thang I get from Thai restaurants. Drunken noodles with chicken, mild please. A little change from the curry dishes.

Face Hurting Funny

Hot Tub Time Machine! I haven't laughed so hard at a movie in a long time. Ah the 80's. Good times. Rob Corddry and Craig Robinson brought the funny. Crispin Glover was a nice surprise and wow, Chevy Chase is old. I hope it makes some money so I can see a sequel.

Toy Story 2

I watched Toy Story 2 again last night and it was a fun movie. I remembered almost nothing except that the prospector was a bad guy. As good as the first. Maybe when the 3rd comes out it will be Elizabeth's first movie theater experience.

Shutter Island

I saw this last night in an advance screening. Had to sit in the front row but the front row at the Palladium is just fine. I wasn't sure what it was about from the trailer. I guessed it might be a horror movie but its not. I thought about this movie on the drive home and all night afterward. I really liked it and would like to see it again but I'll wait for the DVD.

Modern Warfare 2

I finally prestiged yesterday. Forgot how hard it is without the ACR or FAL.

Something, Something, Something, Dark Side

I finally saw it last night. It was pretty funny but many jokes were also lame. The best part was the pose Han made when he was frozen in carbonite.
